Kokua International Bringing aid, hope and relief
"We become whatever we are committed to."
-Rick Warren
The primary focus of our organization is to extend aid to the poor and underprivileged of the world, typically during times of crisis.
Kokua is a Hawaiian word meaning, "to help and to bring aid."
Kokua International was established in Hawaii and is registered both in Hawaii and in Washington state.
Kokua is a non-denominational Christian organization. We are dedicated to bringing aid without strings attached and without hesitation to help, regardless of religious affiliation. We believe that compassion and love are fueled by the love of Jesus.
Kokua International has a desire to serve those who have projects that serve others. People who are doing good works, but have little financial help can apply to Kokua for a sponsor. In the application process, the person states his or her goals, how they are achieving them, and the steps he or she has taken toward that. Each applicant is carefully considered. If the person is accepted, then Kokua will seek a sponsor for the person. We are interested in finding sponsors who would consider giving on a monthly basis. The amount is the decision of the sponsor. The monthly amount is sent to Kokua who will then send the funds to the person. In this way, the donor can receive a tax deduction for their donation.
People who currently need sponsors:

Timothy
Timothy is a pastor. He and his wife, Merry, have pioneered a new work in a remote area, and work hard to bring hope and encouragement to their region. They are also a part of the Kokua International relief teams.
Timothy and his wife have no outside financial help to assist them. They need people who will partner with them faithfully in their work. If you are interested, contact Kokua International.
Evangeline
Evangeline has been involved with needy and homeless children for many years, and has started various children'sprograms in her country to better the life of children in poverty. Recently, she has started a children's home called Mother's Heart house for orphaned children. Her desire is to have only about 8 children in each home, with a parent or set of parents to create a family setting for the children.
She also has a sponsorship program for poor children to stay within their own families, but who receive financial aid for school books and tuition from outside donors. Evangeline works with Kokua International relief teams in all aspects of the ministry. If you are interested in this work or in sponsoring Evangeline in her work, contact Kokua International.
Katrinna
Katrinna and her husband Theo have pioneered a church in a non-Christian country. Her husband is now going to school to complete his doctorate to further their work. Her medical and language skills have been a valuable addition to the Kokua relief teams. Katrinna holds classes for children, teaching them English skills to better their education level. Her skills as an accountant are also used to help an orphanage with their books. If you are interested in sponsoring Katrinna and her husband and their work, contact Kokua International.
Jimmy
Jimmy and his wife Meivi and three children live in a non-Christian country. They train young people to work within their own country to be effective leaders to reach out to the poor and needy and to do good works.
Jimmy also coordinates leaders in his region to come together to share ideas and to assist each other in their projects to help others in need. Jimmy works with Kokua teams through networking, travel arrangements and overseeing teams. If you are interested in sponsoring this family and their work, contact Kokua International.
